S'vani Quintanilla, son of producer/songwriter A.B. Quintanilla III, the brain behind mega-cumbia band Kumbia Kingz, and nephew to Selena Quintanilla Perez, was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. formally known as DJ Moonpie, S'vani adopted the alias Principe Cu in 2012 after releasing Moonpieton under Americano Sound System. Principe Cu is one half of the trap-cumbia duo Royal Highness.
